It’s the Libraries tab in Kontakt’s browser window. This image is probably one you’re familiar with. The attached xml file should be downloaded, extracted and placed in the following directory: On Mac: HD/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Servi. There is a bug in Kontakt where the registration can disappear sometimes. If samples are missing, a Samples Missing dialog will appear. At this point, KONTAKT will check the Library. In this example, we are selecting The Giant Library. Locate the Library folder in the OS X Finder or Windows Explorer. Select Batch re-save from the File drop-down menu within KONTAKT's Main Control Panel. In the list, make sure that all Libraries that you wish to appear in the Library Browser are visible by clicking the square next to the Library name.
The Library must be Set to Display in the Browser Open the KONTAKT Preferences (Mac) / Options (Windows) and switch to the Libraries tab. The information presented in this guide is applicable to most third-party Kontakt sample libraries but there are always exceptions so it’s important that you read the user guides that come with the libraries you purchase. Here we’re going to focus on the latter as those are the ones that you’re more likely to struggle with loading into Kontakt (the first time at least).
